Before you send it
Water is on the floor right now.
Shut the cold valve above the heater and turn off its power or gas control. If you smell gas, leave the house and call your gas utility first. Then call us.
When do you call back?
During office hours, weekdays 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday morning. A leak after hours goes to the on-call plumber.
Where is the label?
On the side of the heater, near the top or the bottom. A photo of the whole label is enough.
